Farwana: The occupation arrested a trader is the fifth since the beginning of the year in Gaza

President of the statistics department at the Ministry of Prisoners Abdel Nasser Farwana said on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation forces arrested Yousef Jawad Khamis Hassan, a trader, during his summoning by the Israeli intelligence at Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing.

Farwana explained through his Facebook account that Hassan is the fifth citizen of the Gaza Strip who have been arrested at the Beit Hanoun crossing since the beginning of this year, the second in a week, in addition to the detention and interrogation of many citizens for hours while traveling to and from the Gaza Strip.

He said, "The occupation authorities make the crossing a trap to arrest citizens and a place of pressure and interrogation and harassment and impede movement and movement to and from the Strip."

Farwana renewed the call to educate people and make them aware of the danger of arrest, detention, interrogation and procedures followed by the occupation with the citizens, stressing the right of citizens freedom of movement to and from Gaza.
