The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed on Wednesday that a Palestinian woman was shot dead by Israeli soldiers at Qalandia checkpoint, north of occupied Jerusalem, early Wednesday.
The Israeli Hadassah Hospital, to which the woman was taken, confirmed the news of her death after being shot in the foot.
Pictures carried by Hebrew media showed the wounded, aged 50, had been left to bleed for a long time before being taken to hospital.
Hebrew media claimed that the woman, whose identity was not yet known, had intended to carry out an appeal.
