JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Arab leaders on Tuesday condemned Netanyahu´s decision to annex the Jordan Valley, northern Dead Sea and some West Bank land, saying it was a dangerous escalation that could not be tolerated.

The Arab League said in a statement: "The statements of Netanyahu on the annexation of land from the West Bank violated international law and UN resolutions."

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi also condemned Netanyahu´s declaration of annexation of illegal Israeli settlements and the imposition of sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and the northern Dead Sea.

Safadi said that Netanyahu´s announcement constitutes a serious escalation that undermines the foundations of the peace process. According to the "island"
