"Jenin Camp", a new bloody massacre that brings to mind the horrific massacre in 2002

"People, send me an ambulance.. I´m in the club, knead me under the car." This is the appeal made by Walid Fayez Matahen, calling on everyone to move to save him, after the occupation bulldozers crushed his vehicle and imprisoned him inside. During its aggression last Thursday morning on  the Jenin camp  , in which about 100 military patrols, special units, and bulldozers participated, under air cover.

.

Trapped in his car.

Like many of the victims targeted by the occupation, the 50-year-old was surprised, while preparing his vehicle, which was parked near the Camp Sports Club, by an Israeli bulldozer storming the area, guarded by occupation patrols.

"My cars were on the side of the street, and when I saw the army and the bulldozer, I stopped and did not move, but suddenly, the bulldozer quickly approached my vehicle and crushed it while I was inside it...the soldiers did not hear my screams and calls for help, and I face death at every moment, I was trapped, I thought I was going to die, the bulldozer pulled my vehicle and threw another vehicle on top of it and crushed it.”

After he was pulled out from under the vehicle and taken to Al-Razi Hospital in Jenin, Mahatana did not believe that he was alive. He was taken to the emergency room, screaming: "Save me... They broke me, they broke me... I feel like I´m dying."

At those moments, the medical staff was working to save the life of Mills, but at the same time they were unable to reach a number of other victims of the massacre in the camp, after it blocked the roads towards it and closed it amid a strict siege, and prevented ambulance vehicles - says the director of the Emergency and Ambulance Center In the Red Crescent, Mahmoud Al-Saadi - that they were prevented from movement, movement, and access to the areas of operations without prior coordination, at a time when no coordination and movement was completely prevented in previous operations.

Cold-blooded execution

That scene reminds of what happened in the Jenin camp massacre in April 2002. Although the Martyr Khalil Suleiman Governmental Hospital is very close to the camp and the Red Crescent headquarters is no more than 200 meters away, the scene did not change after 21 years. Once again, snipers hit the young men who bled. In the streets of the camp until martyrdom, as happened with the martyr Wassim Jaas, whose father told Al-Quds.com: "They killed him and executed him and prevented his aid.. They want us to kneel by killing, but no child will be born among us who kneels, and what happened is a stain on the forehead of the whole world."

And while the father, Amjad Jaas, expressed his pride in his son joining the resistance and confronting the occupation that left him bleeding until he breathed his last, he said: “Resistance is a legitimate right for our people in the presence of an occupation that stole our land and displaced us from the land of our forefathers and fathers in the Nakba of 1948, and we are still refugees and our children were born refugees.” deprived of everything."

And he talked about his son, saying: "My son Waseem, like all the youth of the camp, lives suffering and conquering the oppression of the occupation, killing our people, their comrades, and the people of his camp, so he chose to resist, and when the occupation stormed the camp, he went out and resisted them heroically, and this is a legitimate right, but what law and law allows the occupation to prevent ambulances from reaching him,” noting that his son continued to bleed on the camp ground for half an hour until his blood drained, repeating what happened with many citizens during the famous massacre in 2002.

Targeting the hospital.

And when the occupation was sending huge military reinforcements to the camp, the aggression targeted the Martyr Khalil Suleiman Governmental Hospital, in a repeated scene of the April 2002 massacre. The hospital´s director, Wissam Bakr, told Al-Quds.com that the hospital had received distress calls from citizens to rescue the wounded and bleeding in the streets. However, the occupation prevented the medical staff from moving, and they were unable to reach the camp, and the occupation was not satisfied with that, but rather fired gas bombs towards the hospital, which led to injuries among sick children, their mothers, the elderly, and medical staff.

He pointed out that the hospital is adjacent to the camp, but the occupation completely paralyzed the work of the ambulance and medical staff.

Shocking testimonies.

The camp lacks medical centers and a hospital, even ambulance points, and there is a health clinic for the International Relief Agency that provides services to refugees who witnessed death with their own eyes in the early morning hours of Thursday, as happened with the citizen Mahmoud Badawiya, who remained shocked by the horror of what he saw even after he was rescued and transferred to Al-Razi Hospital. in Jenin.

Badawiya, who works as a street coffee seller in the camp, said: "When the special units started shooting madly after discovering their infiltration into the camp, we felt terror and anxiety that were no different from what we experienced more than 21 years ago in the camp massacre.. I did not expect that I would be spared from the bullets.. We fled to the club and took refuge there from the bullets of the occupation, but suddenly we saw the patrols and the bulldozer storming the club and started demolishing the walls and blew up the club´s barracks and destroyed all the vehicles in the area, and the car ran over the citizen Walid Matahen while he was inside. And the Lord of the Worlds miraculously saved him from death, and after two hours of detention, the ambulance reached us with difficulty and took us out.”

A terrible massacre.

As for the fifty-year-old Muhammad Salih Hawashin, who lived through the events of the major attack carried out by the occupation on the camp when Sharon announced the Defensive Wall campaign, he said, "What I witnessed and lived through now, is more difficult, cruel and greater than the battle and massacre of Jenin camp.. The occupation dealt with us brutally.. They were savaged, they did not surrender They shot anyone from their bullets and every person walking in the street, and I don´t know how we escaped death."

Hawashin, who works as a public car driver, left his house in the camp as usual and headed to the vicinity of the agency building in the center of the camp, where there is a public parking lot for vehicles transporting citizens. Minutes after his arrival, the Israeli attack began, and he says, "While we were waiting, we were surprised by special units infiltrating the camp with civilian cars bearing Palestinian license plates." A truck and 3 vehicles, and we saw them spread out and move quickly near the main mosque in the center of the camp.. Suddenly and for no reason, they started shooting, as it seems to evacuate the area and turn it into an operations center for them, after it was revealed inside the camp and they were exposed to heavy fire from the resistance.

Destruction and terror.

Hawashin stated that, in front of the heavy gunfire from the soldiers, who threatened their lives, they quickly fled towards the club of the camp, the only one close to them. He points his weapon directly at us, and we raise our hands and are trapped in the club´s yard until they managed to save us."

He added, "We were living in a horrific situation and had nightmares of horror... Bullets were pouring in abundance, and I did not expect my survival. It is a terrible massacre, and the occupation loves to be tried."

The occupation operation in the Jenin camp was led by the special units of the alienated, which infiltrated with vehicles bearing a Palestinian license plate, but the resistance discovered them and the situation shifted from an attempt to ambush the wanted, to several ambushes inside the camp, whose streets turned into battlefields and violent confrontation, and more than 100 patrols participated in the operation, Which brought back to the memory of the people of the camp the attack of the occupation, which turned into a battle that lasted 12 days, and ended with the famous April massacre, the details of which everyone still remembers to this day.

Khaled Al-Safouri says: "The bullets of the occupation were pouring down abundantly, and by the mercy of the Lord of the Worlds, no one in my family was harmed, especially after the house of the al-Sabbagh family next to us was bombed in Anirja, so I remembered what we were exposed to in the camp massacre, the bombing, killing and destruction. Small items to protect ourselves, and some of them destroyed the windows and door of my house.. At every moment I expected my house to collapse, and with every sound of explosion, I did not believe that we would live, as I felt that the shells had penetrated our house.”

When the occupation with drew, leaving 9 martyrs at the time (martyr Omar Al-Saadi joined them to reach 10) and 20 wounded, the traces of the massacre were evident in the houses whose windows and concrete walls were penetrated by bullets, and fires broke out in the furniture and contents of a number of neighboring houses, in addition to the destruction of a number of vehicles. .

The citizen, Nidal Abu Naasa, said, "Due to their failure, they destroyed, vandalized, and shot everywhere. People, stones, and vehicles sustained great damage. We witnessed a new version of the camp massacre, in which the occupation committed." Serious atrocities and crimes, but we lived the joy of steadfastness, steadfastness, and the challenge of the resistance and its confrontation with the occupation.” Which means the camp will never be broken."

With marches, a demonstration, and a military parade, Jenin bid farewell to the constellation of martyrs who were distributed between the camp, Jenin, and the towns of Al-Yamoun and Burqin, bringing the number of martyrs in the governorate since the beginning of The new year to 20 out of 32 martyrs in all governorates of the country.
