Settlers cut down 20 olive trees and damage agricultural crops in Masafer Yatta

Today, Wednesday, settlers cut down 20 olive trees and destroyed agricultural crops in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron.

The coordinator of the Protection and Resilience Committees in Masafer Yatta, Fuad Al-Amour, said that the settlers of "Atskha Pomegranate", which were built on the citizens´ lands, attacked the citizens´ fields in the "Sada Thagla" area near the Umm al-Khair community, east of Yatta, and cut and broke 20 fruitful olive trees, and destroyed three dunums of Seasonal crops owned by Jamil Alyan Awad.

He added that this attack comes as part of a series of continuous attacks by the occupation and settlers against Al-Masafer´s families and their properties, which witnessed a significant escalation in the recent period, in light of the people´s fear that the occupation forces would demolish and displace 12 residential communities in Masafer Yatta.
