Palestinian Authority: 5 martyrs and 2,850 wounded by Israeli bullets in clashes in Beita town

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission said that five Palestinians were killed by the Israeli occupation army, and about 2,850 were wounded, during 3 months of anti-Jewish settlement activities in the town of Beita, in the northern occupied West Bank.

The commission said in a statement: "The Israeli occupation´s attacks on the continuous resistance in the town of (Beta) for 91 days."

She added, "With the entry of its fourth month, it caused five martyrs, more than 150 wounded, their limbs broken by live bullets, and 2,700 wounded with rubber bullets and various injuries."

She pointed to the arrest of 33 residents of the town, as well as the massive destruction of infrastructure, roads, agricultural lands and olive trees.

The commission said that all this "was carried out by the occupation army to protect the terrorist settlers who steal Palestinian lands and build their settlements on it."

Beta witnesses almost daily protests against the establishment of a settlement outpost on private Palestinian lands located on the Sabih Mountain.

Although the Israeli army evacuated the settlers from the outpost on July 2, the Palestinians continued their protests, refusing to keep it under Israeli military control, and demanding the return of the lands to their owners.
